Loved reading all the comments here thank you, everybody! So I found this review about 3 months ago after hearing about dentitox pro but was skeptical. I decided to try it based on what people where were saying (sorry joe, your review was good but I wanted to know what customers were saying).
So its been 3 months and I been pleased. Its dentitox is easy to use (I take it after brushing/flossing) and its taken the place of mouth wash in my routine. I have not been to the dentist yet but I think its making my teeth feel stronger. I know thats hardly proof that it is. I cant explain it. Its just a feeling I have. Before I felt a bit apprehensive biting into harder foods and after a month or so those feelings were no longer there.

Hi, Joe. I’m about halfway through my first vial of Dentitox. It didn’t take long for my teeth to whiten more than they ever have, and my gums to look light pink. I feel much less sensitive to cold. Growing up in the fifties I was exposed to harsh tooth brushing methods, and I ate a lot of refined sugar. Years ago, when I cut way back on white sugar, I noticed much less inflammation of my gums and body. I use manuka honey for sweetening or organic maple syrup, neither of which inflames my body. I intend to use three drops of Dentitox twice a day from now on, instead of the once a day I’m doing now. I take it after brushing.
When I visited the dentist this week, my hygienist felt surprised my gums didn’t bleed. I felt much less irritation as he poked around. I’ve never liked his water instrument, but this time it didn’t bother me like it usually does, so much less sensitivity.

I use a water pic a couple times a week, on the advice of my hygienist, on the lowest setting.

Jinny, I have heard of ProDentim. ProDentim is a probiotic supplement. The idea is that it replaces bad bacteria in the mouth with good bacteria. Here is the ProDentim review. I hope this helps you figure out which supplement is best for you. Any other questions just ask.
Jinny, I cant speak for prodentim as I have not heard of it but I’d say stick with dentitox. I’ve been a faithful user for 8 months and had my best dental check in about 4 years.
Has anyone noticed their teeth getting whiter with dentitox pro? Ive been using it faithfully for 7 months and in the last 2 months 4 people have asked me if I was whitening my teeth. I haven’t. Ive just been doing the normal brushing with my sonicare and flossing. The only thing I did extra was add the dentitox. Just wondering.

Great review and conversation! I have been taking dentitox 3x a day for the past 5 months and have def seen a difference. My teeth dont feel as sensitive when I drink hot coffee anymore. When it first started I thought I had a cavity but none was seen by my orthodontitis. Needless to say I’ll continue using this for as long as they keep making it.

How long should you leave dentitox in your mouth? do you spit it out after?
Hi Donna, I don’t think there’s a specific time. Some have reported they leave it in the mouth after swishing it around. I would use dentitox pro after brushing and flossing. I can’t prove it but I think that would produce the best results.
I added dentitox to my brushing and flossing routine about 9 months ago and have been quite pleased with the results. I use dentitox after brushing and flossing, 2x a day, morning and before going to bed. I swish it around in my mouth and dont spit it out afterward. I’ve had two checkups so far and no cavities. The tarter also looked less too according to my hygienists. While I cant say it will work for everyone, its such as simple thing to do so I’ll keep using it and keep my fingers crossed.

I used it for a month before my dental appointment and didnt see any difference in tarter removed from the last visit but maybe I did not use it long enough. I’ll keep using it and see what happens the next time
Hi Jane, that would be my guess too. As I said in the review, if Dentitox works I think it would take longer than a month and that would also vary according to how bad dental problems were too. The good news, as I see it, is that if tarter removal was your only problem, that’s not too bad overall.
Last week I had my 6-month dental appointment and passed with flying colors! No cavities! In addition to flossing and brushing, I’ve been using dentitox for 5 months, started taking it after my last dental visit which was less than spectacular. I’m sold and will keep using it.

Curious, that’s an interesting question. I don’t think you need to use it on dentures but I also don’t see anything in the ingredients that would harm dentures either. My instinct is to follow what your dentist says about caring for your dentures. I hope that helps.

Hi Beverly, thanks for your kind words. To answer your questions, Dentitox does not contain fluoride. As for steel bite pro (see review), its a dietary supplement that contains zinc, milk thistle, and several other ingredients. As far as I know, Steel Bite has not been compared to Dentitox in clinical studies so I could not say which would prove most beneficial. That said, if I had to choose between them, I’d go with Dentitox.

So a friend and I decided to take Dentotix pro at the same time to see what happened. For me, I think it worked great. I passed with flying colors and only needed a teeth cleaning, although the dentists said she felt there was less plaque than the last time and asked if I had switched to a sonic toothbrush as she suggested (I had not).
As for my friend, Barbara, at her last dental appointment, she was told she may need a filling due to a small cavity that looked to be forming. it was not causing her any problems at that time so she didn’t get it done. This time around she was told the “cavity” had not changed on X-rays. Did Dentitox help? Hard to say but she’s pleased nonetheless.
From this Id say Dentitox pro may be worth checking into but remember that how severe your dental problems are may reduce how well it works. Like everything, results will vary.

Because of the pandemic I now have some serious dental problems and discovered Dentitox on YouTube. I am a cynic and concerned that the benefits of the product have been overstated, hence my following this thread. I also don’t have money to burn, but I do want to do something about my teeth. Hi Cheryl, I’m so sorry to hear about your dental problems. Ive heard the dental industry took a hit during the pandemic as many people (myself included) postponed going to the dentist. Theres no doubt theres a lot of people saying some pretty impressive stuff about Dentitox. I wonder if some of the benefits of Dentitox may be due to xylotol which can reduce cavities. For what it’s worth I have not heard of anyone having issues in getting refunds from the company.
If Dentotix works, I dont think it will work overnight. You said youve been dealing with some serious dental issues since the pandemic hit. While you didnt specify what those problems are, I don’t think Dentitox can correct serious oral health problems. Even if it did, it might take more than 2 months -the length of the money back guarantee – to know for sure.
What I’d say is if you were going to try Dentitox, don’t purchase more than 2 months at a time. That way if it didn’t work for you, you might not be out as much money.
I wish I had some good answers for you on this Cheryl. If you try it, I hope you let us know what happened.
I have not used this product but I do use Colloidal Silver. It’s awesome for any pain caused by a tooth or canker sores. It only takes a couple of days using it 3 or 4 times a day
and the pain is gone!!
I was more interested in the whiting that
this product was referring.
So I don’t have problems with my teeth but I do have dry mouth and have observed that Dentitox appears to help saliva production. It didn’t happen overnight. I think it took about a month to notice it was helping. I used it 2x a day, day and night. I don’t rinse my mouth out with it but instead, leave it in. I don’t know if this will help anyone but thought I’d mention it in case it does.

Hi Mel, based on the ingredients, it’s possible some of the ingredients in Dentitox like xytol may reduce the ability of cavity-causing bacteria like strep mutans to adhere to teeth. In theory, this should reduce the odds of cavities occurring. I’d like to see some studies on this but it makes some sense to me.
I loved this discussion and am intrigued by all of your results enough to give Dentitox a try. I just purchased 6 months supply which should take me up to my next dentist appointment. Tony, just make sure it has the same ingredients. Sometimes when supplements get popular, some may try to capitalize on it with knockoff/counterfeit supplements. Not sure if it’s happening with Dentitox but just on the lookout for the possibility.
Hey just wanted to let you know…the ones on ebay are knock offs…look at the insignia on the bottom right corner…its different than the ones on the web site…also the knock offs have some lettering above the logo at the top while the original is bare. Be careful.

My dentist told me that my molar can not be saved, need to extract, just because he said i have so called “Foreign body Granuloma” reaction.

I came here looking for answers about Dentitox and I was not disappointed. I’ve been using Dentitox for the last 7 months and I could not be more pleased. I’m a 27-year-old woman who, for the last 5 years has had 1-2 cavities almost every time I went to the dentist.
My last dentist appointment was last month after, I had been using Dentitix pro for about 6 months. No cavities! This came as such a relief to me as I was at the point where each time Id go there, there would be a problem. This time was the first time in a couple of years that I just got a cleaning and was sent on my way.
If you are thinking about trying Dentitix, my advice is to give it at least 3 months. Of course, this may be different – shorter or longer – depending on how your oral health is. All I can say is I’m pleased with my results and will keep using dentitox 2x a day for as long as they make it.

Do you know of any issues involving dentotix and diabetes? Would it raise blood sugar levels? Im tempted to purchase Dentitox but want to know if it would raise my blood sugar. do you know anything about this?
Hi John, so dentitox pro has no added sugars and no sugar at all so I don’t think it would raise blood sugar levels. The supplement facts label says it has less than 1 gram of total carbohydrates, again I don’t think that would make difference on blood sugar levels. It doesn’t have an overabundance in any vitamins or minerals either. While I’m not a doctor, I don’t see any problems. Nobody has told me of blood sugar problems either. You may be monitoring your blood sugar levels already. If yes, then keep doing that while you take dentitox and see if there are any changes in your glucose levels. I hope some of this helps

I myself have been a faithful user of Dentitox Pro for the last 7 months. After about 3 months is when I had my last dentist checkup where my hygienist commented that my teeth did not look as strained as they were the last time. The only thing I changed was dentitox, I use it 2x a day, morning and before bed, after eating. As others have stated, I switch Dentitox around with my tongue after brushing and flossing. I don’t mind the taste either which makes it easier too.
My husband also commented that my breath has improved also so Ill take that as another perk. While I dont have any cavities, I do feel dentitox has helped me and I plan on continuing to take it for the foreseeable future.

I used a Waterpick (never higher than medium pressure) on the advice of my dentist and ended up with 21 new cavities on my next regular visit. It ended up costing me about $3000. I wanted to spray it with gold paint and give it to him as a trophy. The most honest comment I ever got from a dentist is when they told me that once they start drilling on a tooth they keep drilling until they pull it, and if possible, then do an implant.

I remember years ago a dentist wanted to do a root canal on me. I decided to get a second opinion and ended up never needing a root canal. I think like anything there are good and not-so-good dentists out there. Hopefully, you are past all those cavities now.

What a great review! Let me start off by saying I am a retired dental hygenist. Since first hearing about dentitox I was curious if it might work. So, 4 months ago I decided to purchase a few month’s supply prior to my regular check-up at my dentist.
I used dentixox twice a day, morning and evening after brushing and flossing. I would put 3 drops on my tongue and swish it around my teeth for a few minutes or until my tongue got tired of swishing. I did not rinse my mouth out but left it in.
My dentist’s check-up was last week. On my previous visit, there was we talked that I had a little gum receding but it was not seen this time around.
My x rays were normal with no more bone loss which is good for someone who is in her 70s. Since bone grows so slowly I doubt dentitox would have an effect over the few months I took it. I still have all my teeth and did not have any cavities. 6 months ago I did have 1 cavity so was this due to dentox or just me being more vigilant? I dont think I did anything different so I will just be happy and see what happens after 6 more months.
The biggest thing was my hygenist did not have to scrape away as much tartar as before. She even commented that my teeth seemed cleaner. I thought that was interesting because I did not eat or drink anything different or change my oral health routine.
Overall Im very happy with this product and feel it really is making a difference. As you said nothing works overnight and I do think it will take a few months before seeing a difference.

Thank you for posting this great review and for everybody who has been leaving comments in the forum. I must say I’ve been using Dentitox for about five months and I did not think it was doing anything but I noticed my hygienists mentioned at my last checkup that I had less plaque than previously and remarked that my teeth looked brighter and did I give up coffee (which she said stained my teeth the last time).
I honestly didn’t think Dentitox was doing anything but after that visit, I guess the results were so subtle that it took an unbiased person to make me realize it really was improving my teeth? Either way, Ill keep doing my morning ritual since it seems to be working.

So here’s what happened, Yesterday I had my latest dentist visit. This is the first time in 2 years I did NOT have a cavity. I’ve been using Dentitox every day for the last 6 months. Yes, I do brush and floss but still had cavities when I went to the dentist. The only thing I did differently this time was that I started using dentitox on my teeth and gums at night. I put 3 drops on my tongue and move it around in my mouth for 3 minutes and then brush and floss. While I can’t speak for everybody I believe this worked for me.

I am a fan of this stuff. For the last 2 dentist visits, I had cavities. About 4 months ago I started using Dentitox pro after a friend suggested it to me. I used it as directed and when I went to the dentist last week I got a clean bill of health. No cavities! My dentist said whatever you are doing, keep doing it. I mentioned to my dentists I was using Dentitox but she had not heard of it.

I’ve been using dentitox but doing it differently. Ive smeared it on my teeth and left it on for 20 minutes while watching TV. I think brush and floss before going to bed. I think it works. My teeth feel cleaner than they did before I started using dentitox.

Not if it contains Xylitol!
JD Xylitol is antibacterial and is good for helping prevent cavities. Unless you are sensitive to it I don’t see much of a downside.
Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs. Even in small amounts it can cause hypoglycaemia, seizures, liver failure, and even death.

Since I started using Dentitox about 2 months ago I think my systolic BP has dropped by about 3 points. I’m not complaining. I will take all the help I can get. Hi Penny, that is so interesting. If I had to guess at what may be reducing your blood pressure, I’d say it may be potassium. Potassium -from foods and supplements – can reduce blood pressure. Potassiu is important for our blood vessel health too. Dentitox Pro has a moderate amount of potassium (350 mg). Many people may not be eating enough potassium, which is why you see potassium listed on nutrition facts labels. Depending on how much potassium you get in your diet, it’s possible – maybe – that this may be why you’re noticing it helping reduce your blood pressure.
I’ve just read K2 helps remove plaque from arteries. That would be my first guess from this product.

If you want to lower your blood pressure, try 3 tablespoons of organic hemp seeds once a day. It works for me, confirmed by my acupuncturist, who takes my blood pressure at each visit.
Cheri, thats great to hear! Thank you for sharing. I wonder if it’s due to alpha-linolenic acid in the hemp seeds? Some researchers have found flax seeds lower blood pressure and its thought this may be due to alpha-linolenic acid. Hemp seeds also contain alpha-linolenic acid.

I was skeptical of online offers but but decided to give this a try. Its definitely made my breath smell better and I feel like my teeth feel stronger. I know that sounds weird but I cant explain it any other way. For me Dentixox did not work overnight. It took about 3 and a half months before I noticed all of the differences although the breath difference I picked up on in a week or two.
Anyway, this is my opinion of what happened to me. I hope this helps people searching for answers.

Ive been taking Dentitox for the last 8 months. I think it really made a difference. I put it on my oral B toothbrush after brushing and flossing and leave it sit on my teeth for 5 minutes before eating or drinking anything. I think it has really made a difference. My teeth just feel better and I’m more confident when I go outside. I can’t explain it better than that. Im not sure if this helps anyone. I only know its working for me.

Glad I stumbled upon this review. I couldn’t find it on Supplement Clarity when I went back to locate it but fortunately had the review open on my phone.
I am having issues with gum recession, erosion, and decay. My dentist wants me to take a prescription-strength fluoride toothpaste but maybe I’ll start with otc fluoridated toothpaste since I hadn’t been using it before. I am also going to stop eating lemons for a while.
I’d like to try this but I have some concerns. It is rather expensive and the addition of licorice could raise my BP, which I have to watch. This is probably less likely if I am not swallowing it.
Regarding the comment about the oil pulling, Dr Greger advises against it and has some valid points.

Hi Judy, yes I am trying to spread some of the reviews between here and SupplementClarity.com Glad you were able to find this here 🙂 I think it’s a good idea to cut back on the lemons for now or when you use them, rinse your mouth out with water afterward. Same thing if you drink seltzer water or other acidic liquids. My brother swears by his Waterpik. I don’t use one myself but I have heard good things. Are you flossing? I have switched to a different floss which I love. It’s called Dr. Tungs Smart Floss. Its the best dental floss I’ve found since my former favorite (gentle gum care by johnson and johnson) was discontinued. Its a woven fiber that gets more plaque than ordinary floss.
As for oil pulling, it’s popular but I don’t see much proof for it. I admit Im not an expert on it. Dr. Gregers people did a good job pulling up reports of worst-case scenarios of people who put oily stuff in their nose.
For what its worth, I’ve recently changed my dental habits. First I brush, then I floss with Dr. tungs floss and then I brush again. I follow all that up with zero alcohol mouth wash. I use a Sonicare toothbrush which I think works a bit better than a manual toothbrush.
Hi Joe – I floss with Glide. I found Tung’s a little too thick for some of the tight spaces between back teeth. I probably should increase to twice a day instead of just once. I’d like to get a handheld portable Waterpik. My dentist recommends the full size version but there’s not enough room in the bathroom for it. I use a battery powered Oral B toothbrush that has replaceable brush heads.
I did not know about the acidity with seltzer water. Is that the case with mineral water too? Sometimes I’ll buy bottled mineral water for a little extra calcium.

Glide is a fine floss too. It’s too slippery for me but the good thing is to find a floss that works for you. Yes, try flossing 2x a day. I’m sure people may think I’m weird but I like flossing better than brushing. Somewhere I turned into a flossing nut 🙂 Oral B is a great toothbrush option too. I know people who love their oral B toothbrushes.
I’m not sure if mineral water is acidic. I say if it has bubbles it probably is acidic. Anything carbonated probably is acidic. That’s my rule of thumb.
Do try the water pick. I’m not sure if there is a difference between the full-size version and the handheld version. At the end of the day using it is better than not 🙂

So after many auto messages from clickbank and Dentitox saying my email was irrelevant and closing my support ticket, I got a new order sent and received it after two months. Yes I know that we are in a global pandemic and my country has particularly tight border quarantine at the moment (for a reason), but that was a struggle on average compared to other overseas deliveries I have collected recently. Not a good start.
I will re-review this product in a couple of months to see if it made any difference to my teeth/gums.

I tried to order it but my credit card company stopped it ! I have receding gums because of a serious burn to my right hand as a child. I cannot floss so I use plastic toothpick with little barbs on them . I am so upset by my receding gums and would take almost anything to reverse it ! But does it really do that or is there something better out there ? I refused the surgeries my dentist wanted to do using my top of mouth skin, cadavers skin — a big NO THANK YOU ! So if y’all know of something to reverse my gum recession I would love to hear it :)) Thanks so much !

Hi Anne, I’m so sorry to learn about what you have been dealing with. I’m sure all of this is very frustrating for you. I’m not sure if Dentitox would work for you or not. Some have said yes but everybody is different. Sometimes credit card companies red-flag things that they think are not normal purchases. If you contact the credit card company I’m sure they would ok the purchase.
Obviously, brush with a soft bristle brush. Hard brushes can cause make gum receding worse. There are mouthwashes that are supposed to help gum disease. Listerine Gum Therapy is one of them. There are others too. Im not sure how well they work and if they work they may work best in mild cases. Your dentists can obviously give you the best advice on that.
Have you tried a water pic? I’ve heard some people use Water Pics when flossing is not possible. I’ve seen ads for toothpastes that claim to rebuild bone but Im not sure how well they work.
Rinsing your mouth out after eating or drinking anything acidic can also help slow the process. My guess is you probably already know about all of this but just in case I thought I’d say it just in case.

Anne, I wish I had an answer for you. Ive known people who’ve had implants and they were satisfied with the results. I’ve heard the same thing from people who use those little plastic things with floss on them. When using those make sure to use several of them to floss to cut back on spreading bacteria from one tooth to another. Or maybe squirt a little alcohol on them in between to kill off bacteria if you’re using them on more than one tooth. I don’t know anybody who does that but it just occurred to me as I was thinking about what you can do.
From the moment you see the video, it says you can recover enamel and gums ALMOST OVERNIGHT, so I would I need to buy the product for 6 months.?
Natalia, for what it’s worth I think it will take longer than one day to see changes. Oral health issues don’t happen overnight and can’t be fixed in a short time. If Dentitox really works I think it would take a month or two at least before you notice a difference and this would also depend on the degree of issues you are experiencing.
I haven’t seen an obvious piece of direction on how to take this supplement: do you swallow, or avoid ingesting the product after swishing with it? Does anyone know?
Adrian, sorry for the confusion. The company says to add a few drops to your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it along with toothpaste. You can also add a few drops to your tongue and massage it around your teeth and gums. I hope that helps.
This Dentitox has been the best thing Ive used in a long time. Just had a dental check up and everything was perfect. That’s much different from last year when I had 2 cavities. The hygenist said my teeth had fewer stains than last year and didnt have to clean my teeth as much as the last time. Im sold. I will keep taking Dentitox

Hi Gena, Id say that depends on what you are looking for. For some things maybe not. Perhaps when you get what you are looking for, maybe using Dentitox Pro periodically may be better.

I must say I was skeptical when I first heard about this stuff. but after a month or so my teeth felt. better. I had some pain when brushing some teeth but after a month the pain stopped. I will continue taking and see what happens when I go to the dentist in a few months

Betty, that’s so interesting what you said. My hygienist said my teeth were not as badly stained as when I saw her the last time too. I didn’t think too much of it until I read this review. It must be the Dentitox. I’ve been using it once a day for the last 4 months.
When I went to the dentist recently, the hygienist commented that my teeth didn’t look as stained as they were the last time and she didn’t need to clean them as much. I’ve been using Dentiox for the past 3 months and think it’s working for me.

The video shows two teeth with bad cavity damage being reversed so the teeth are whole again. Can Denitox Pro really do that?

Will it cause mercury to leach from my fillings?

Ive been using Dentitox Pro for the last two months and I do feel its working. My teeth feel cleaner -and feel cleaner longer than when I just brushed and flossed. And I can also report my breath smells better too. I never had a bad breath problem but I can definitely tell the difference. This product works for me.

Kelly, great minds think alike 🙂 I actually reached out to Listerine (Johnson and Johnson) to ask why they discontinued Gentle Gum care. They could not give me a reason. I did try the floss they replaced it with. It’s inferior. It feels plastic. I’ll never use it. I tried so many different kinds of floss and Dr. Tungs is the winner hands down.
I just watched the promo video with its truly over-the-top claims by an actor on a set gushing nauseating hyperbole. Then I read three reviews and this one is definitely the best and most informative. Thanks for that.
I’m aware from other sources that most of the ingredients of this product are beneficial for oral health. It’s important to note that in the mouth (as well as the entire GI tract) there are both good and bad bacteria. The natural ingredients in this product will kill only the bad bacteria and should not destroy the necessary good bacteria. But if a synthetic mouthwash is used, that will kill everything and likely ruin some of the effects of the product’s ingredients. NEVER use synthetic mouthwash, it probably encourages cavities by killing the good bacteria. Interesting recent finding: there are specific species of good bacteria that inhabit different locations in the mouth, some in front, something else in the back, like that.
Fresh neem twigs are routinely used in India in rural areas like a toothpick for cleaning teeth. The neem oil is the active ingredient for its antibacterial effects, which is why you don’t see actual toothpicks in the dropper ;-).
Note that ALL essential oils have anti-bacterial properties. Some have more than others, including peppermint.
Xylitol also comes from birch bark, the main source in Europe where Finland supplies it. I didn’t know about it being a probiotic food source, thanks for that.
One other thing I’ve learned is that while vitamin D3 and K2 are essential for health, they should be taken at separate times of the day because they compete for absorption by the body. Also, D3 requires some lipids for absorption, and K2 may also but I’m not certain. A proper dose of D3 is 1000 IU, and up to 5000 IU for those who don’t get much sunshine, particularly in winter. D3 is essential to absorb calcium from food. K2 is essential for taking calcium out of the bloodstream and escorting it to where it needs to go (bones & teeth), so if you take a lot of D3 without also taking K2, you could be setting yourself up for calcium deposits in the cardiovascular system.
I’m surprised this product contains phosphoric acid because that is some stuff actually used to clean brick walls. It isn’t particularly strong but I would think it isn’t the best for putting on teeth because it dissolves calcium in brick mortar, just like ascorbic acid (vitamin C in acid form) is good for dissolving calcium deposits. I saw one comment elsewhere that this product has a distinct acidic taste. Whether adding phosphorus is necessary is debatable. Bananas supply plenty.
Steve, thanks so much. I saw some videos too. I didn’t trust any of them. Glad you were able to find me out there among them all. the phosphoric acid jumped out at me too. Could it be used as a whitening agent or as you say to remove calcium deposits and maybe plaque? I have not tried Dentitox Pro so that was interesting what you said about the taste. I hope it works for people.
I doubt the phosphoric acid would whiten teeth except by removing plaque and enamel that is dirty. I have no idea what in the ingredients would whiten teeth other than calcium being added to rebuild. But the ad said you can “still eat whatever you want” which is ludicrous pandering nonsense for lazy non-thinkers to separate them from their money.
If you want to remineralize your teeth, you MUST change your diet because that is what promotes cavities. Acidic anything will immediately start to demineralize your teeth. That’s one reason Coca-Cola is used to clean many things, even remove rust stains from chrome. It has phosphoric acid in it.
But in this formula, there probably isn’t enough to do much damage, and it could be for removing the plaque. Not enough to remove tartar, though, without taking tooth enamel elsewhere with it. A good dental cleaning would be cheaper than this stuff at getting rid of tartar.
BTW, using high-quality organic sesame oil that has been “cured” by heat (but not burnt) with the same swishing action all over the teeth and gums for about 5 minutes minimum is also good for remineralizing teeth and killing the bad bacteria. That is an ancient Ayurvedic recommendation. Might be cheaper, too.

Yes, Westerners like to call it oil pulling to convey the action of it drawing out toxins and bacteria from the gum tissues. I’ve used it to improve my gums. Pure cold-pressed sesame oil, not chemically extracted. It was originally something only affordable by the rajas and wealthy merchants of ancient India. Takes about 1/2 tsp per day.
It’s crucial to use ONLY organic oil to avoid the highly toxic pesticide residues of modern agriculture. GMOs are bad enough for the planet’s future but it turns out that glyphosate is used a LOT around the world to also desiccate grains, seeds, rice, and legumes by means of killing them with glyphosate just before harvest so they all die conveniently for the farmer and grain companies at the same time. In other words, even conventional crops could be drenched with glyphosate, and it doesn’t wash off or degrade. No time. Cheerios (oats) were tested and found to contain about 1500% of the already outrageously high residue amounts allowed by the EPA.
In case you didn’t know, glyphosate is the most used pesticide in the world — it is detectable almost everywhere now — soils, air, waters — and it has so many different ways to cause diseases, including ALL the pathways to cancer, that it should have never been given permission to be produced. But that’s a whole sordid history subject of its own.
Steve, yes Ive heard about the dangers of glyphosate. I believe its an endocrine hormone disruptor too. Is there a brand of organic sesamie oil you prefer for oil pulling? I’ve never tried it but in case I do, Id like to try something others have used.
There are all sorts of levels of quality of sesame oil for massage and oil pulling. And there are known to be producers and manufacturers that cheat when they say their product is organic. That’s a real danger.
Anything for skincare or herbal products, if possible I always go with what Maharishi Ayurveda Products International provides. Even shampoo. They earn their reputation for being the best. They test everything they produce for purity and potency. And they source the best ingredients. Here is their sesame oil which is superb:

That is the company that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi inspired. He didn’t own it, just guided its founding and direction. He collected the most impressive group of Ayurvedic physicians, called vaidyas, and guided them in making a systematic approach to producing and presenting Ayurvedic knowledge and products. And he was an absolute stickler for producing the best products, no compromises. I once heard the head of the company tell the story of the early days of developing the company about 40 years ago.
He had been working on producing a paste Rasayana (tonic for overall health) called Amrit Kalash —”Vessel of Immortality”— from an ancient formula that the three best vaidyas had collectively revived (one had been given the formula on a palm leaf). There are LOTS of components to Amrit Kalash, some are not well known, so it took a lot of time to find them all.
Finally, he and his team had finished a batch of it in a big bowl. They took it to show Maharishi. It was very late at night that they were able to see him. Maharishi asked questions about it and the company owner, who was also Maharishi’s disciple, was telling about the many processes and herbs and spices that go into Amrit. At one point the owner said proudly that they were able to get a much better price by substituting a much cheaper but similar herb that was much more common.
Maharishi was furious at him, saying that “we don’t compromise” on the ingredients, it is always what is best that should be the choice. Then he told the team to immediately take the bowl of paste outside (in the middle of the night) and BURY it. Which they did. The owner said that was his “lesson in quality control.”
And they’ve maintained that high standard, no matter the cost.
Years later the owner explained why another Rasayana called Triphala, a general detox cleansing formula, cost so much compared to all the other Triphalas on the market. It was because of the same reason. One of the three ingredients is a much more expensive species than the substituted species used by everyone else.
So I have confidence that the sesame oil they sell is also truly organic and of the best quality available. So that’s what I use.
I totally agree with the “nauseating hyperbole” an exaggerated drama which went on and on and on – I turned on the video and did other things waiting to get to the end. Never did because I turned off the stupid video because it turned me off!! Finally, I discovered there was a text-based version. However, as much as I give more credence to Steve’s posts, there is always built-in bias, it seems.
On the one hand he decries this snake oil but on the other, he is gushing about the Maharishi! After that shameless promotion, I am now taking everything I here with a grain of salt, though I do agree about good practices, whether they be diet, brushing or flossing. There is no magical panacea.
Micheal, I agree there’s no magic bullet. I still put the emphasis on flossing and brushing (scroll up for my favorite dental floss). I can’t comment on Mararishi products as I have not looked at them yet, although I thought Steve was being sincere in what he likes and trusts. Can Dentitox help? Several here have said yes although I admit I have not tried it. My teeth so far are still pretty good (knock on wood).

John, It probably cant hurt but I’m not aware of any evidence Dentitox helps bleeding gums. It may or may not. Sometimes bleeding gums can start if you just began flossing. It should go away as your gums get used to flossing. If you try Dentitox Pro, let me know what happens with your gums
what dental floss do you recommend?
John, Good question. I’m kind of a dental floss nerd. I used to love the Johnson and Johnson Listerine Gentle Gum care dental floss. I used it for over 10 years. It was a kind of a woven fabric that covered more surface area of the teeth. For some reason, Listerine discounted it and replaced it with a plastic-like floss that I cant use. These days I’m a big fan of Dr. Tungs Smart Floss. Its the also a fabric like dental floss. I use it every day and works great. It makes flossing fun again.
I take MSM for arthritis. I did not know it could help strengthen my teeth too. Thank you for this! I’ll keep taking MSM. I may check this out too. It cant hurt.

Can dentixo Pro prevent cavities?
Hi Barbara, In theory, some of the ingredients might help reduce cavities but it would take a human clinical trial to know for sure. I’m impressed at how some of the ingredients may make it harder for biofilm and plaque to stick to teeth. That, plus inhibiting the growth of cavity-causing bacteria might mean it does something. I don’t believe it’s a substitute for flossing and brushing but might help flossing and brushing work better. I’m looking forward to seeing a couple of research studies on Dentitox Pro to know for sure.
Thanks for this write-up and I agree, it’s very difficult to find real testimonials about Dentitox Pro. That said, here is one of them. I’m glad you discussed bad breath because that’s why I decided to try it. I’ve tried mouthwashes and I brush regularly but nothing worked. But Dentixo Pro did. I used it twice a day and noticed improvements in how my breath smelled in the morning after 2 weeks. Just to double-check, I stopped using it and my bad breath started to return after 2 days. While I can’t speak to the other claims, when it comes to halitosis, Dentix Pro works for me.
