What Is The Gut Microbiome (Gut Flora)?

Microbiome, gut microbiota and gut flora all refer to the same thing – the diverse ecosystem of microscopic animals that live inside of us. The gut refers to the entire digestive tract that runs from your mouth to your anus. It's here, in the gut, that food is broken down by a multitude of enzymes, bacteria, and other microorganisms. The trillions of microbes that live inside of us are mostly made of bacteria fungi and yeast are present too. your gut flora also contains some viruses as well.

SynoGut Ingredients Research

Psyllium Husk

The husk of psyllium is what coats psyllium seeds. It is an excellent source of soluble fiber, shown to be effective at improving bowel movements by attracting water. SynoGut Side Effects & Adverse Reactions

The ingredients in SynoGut are pretty normal consisting of fiber, prebiotics, and probiotics. As such, it would be expected to make bowel movements easier. Side effects and negative reactions would not be expected in most people. The company does suggest not exceeding the recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day. They likewise suggest not using the supplement if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition:

  • If you have allergies, the company tells us SynoGut is made and packaged in a facility that may also process milk soy wheat eggs peanuts tree nuts fish, and crustation shellfish

    its been 3 weeks and Ive lost 5 pounds. I purposely did not do anything different except take synogut. While I do like the weight loss I especially like how Im going to the bathroom more often. For me, thats the real bonus.

    In not sure if you are still answering people but I wanted to say its been a solid 3 months since I started taking synogut and I am most certainly going to the bathroom more regularly. Im not straining at all either which is a first for me in a long time. I cant say if its giving me more energy or better skin (Ive heard some say this) but I’ll take better #2s as a win for me.     I was skeptical of the claims of this supplement but decided to give it a try since I could get my money back if it didn’t work. Turns out I didn’t need to. Since taking synogut my constipation problems have improved greatly. I now “go” 2x a day which is up from maybe 1x every couple of days. I started to see BM improvements after about 2 weeks.

As for your probiotic, unless its a medical probiotic you got at a pharmacy Id think you could just swap it out for SynoGut and see what happens. Start with less for the first week to see how you respond. Id think psyllium should be since its a fiber and healthy bacteria like to eat fiber. In theory, the psyllium might be good. Do some experimenting and see what works best for you.

    I really want to thank everybody for this great conversation. I’ve been taking synogut for about 3 months now and here is what I’ve observed

    improved bathroom frequency and easier BMs
    less GI issues like acid reflux. I didn’t deal much with this issue but its been less since I started the supplement
    I appear to be sleeping better
    a decline in body weight of about 3 pounds

    I have not had any side effects. I did start off by taking less for the first week which I also think is wise when taking probiotic supplements. I’m not sure if that played a role but it can’t hurt to do.

    Based on my experiences I’d say give synogut a try and see what happens. You can always get your money back if its not working for you.

    I was taking synogut for about 2 months and didn’t think it was doing anything until last week when I went out to dinner with friends to celebrate the retirement of a friend. I overindulged that night (alcohol and 3 pieces of very rich cherry cheesecake) and really thought I was going to have acid reflux but I didn’t! I slept right through the night without any problems.

    The only thing I can associate this with is synogut. Thats my testimony. Take that for what it is

    Since I started taking this supplement – great review by the way! – and I observed I’m sleeping better, my chronic acid reflux is gone and I’m definitely pooping better too. I know TMI, but it really is something that surprised me. I’ve tried other probiotics in the past but this is the first I’ve felt the difference.

    Synogut does not disappoint. Within 4 days of taking synogut I was doing #2 much easier and my indigestion was gone. One thing you did not mention in your review (which was the best Ive seen by the way!) is the effects on skin. My skin’s appearance has improved. every now and then I’d get little blemishes. Nothing big and I was able to cover them up but I discovered that after taking Synogut for 3 months, my skin cleared up. Im not comparing but do you know why that happened?

      Hi Jennifer, Im not sure how SynoGut helped clear up your skin. My guess is a healthier gut microbiome may lead to changes in inflammation which might improve the appearance of skin. I have seen some research on skin health and gut health so maybe that’s it? Either way. Im glad to see Synogut is working well for you 🙂

    Synogut is hands down the best supplement Ive tried in a long time. Not only am I pooping more than I used to -and thats a good thing as my doctor wanted to put me on a drug and I said no way! Two other things Ive experienced is Im not eating as much as I used to (especially before bed) and when I do eat I no longer have my acid reflux too. Its a little expensive but its worth it seeing these results.

      Hi Jami, thanks for sharing that! I suspected synogut might improve going to the bathroom. It’s good to know my instincts were correct. It makes sense synogut might reduce appetite since it has glucomannan fiber that’s been shown to do that.

    Ive been using syno gut for 2 months and I can say I am definitely more regular. Its not bad like I have to run to the bathroom but rather Im just going more than usual. While I was going #2 3x a week Im now up to 7 times a week which is a first. I have not changed my diet at all. That part you said about the weight of stool was something Id never heard before. Im so glad I came up on this review and will be sharing it with friends.

    This is the only probiotic that has ever worked for me. I honestly had given up on probiotics but I kept hearing about Synogut so much that I thought Id give it a try. I researched it first and found your review. Your words convinced me to try it. After 2 weeks my BMs were better and I did not have acid reflux after eating. I also feel like I have more energy too which is odd as I was not expecting that. I wake up with more energy and at the end of the day I’m ready for bed.

    Whatever is it synogut its definitely working? Thanks so much for your fine review. I will be sharing this with friends if that is ok?

I admit that I’m always a bit skeptical when it comes to probiotics but the ingredients made me think it would do something. I’m happy to know it is. Continued success.     Ok so here is my story: On top of having a challenging time in the bathroom, my tummy was also making weird rumbling noises but that all stopped after I started taking this probiotic. Within 3 days my tummy felt better. After a couple of weeks, I was more regular too. Whiel I cant say it will work for everyone, it has for me and Im happy.

When I heard about synogut I was skeptical because I could not find much helpful information about it but I am so glad I kept looking and found this.       Hi Amanda, Great question! Senna is a laxative. I’ve seen it in weight loss teas and other natural laxative products.
      I can report there is NO senna in SynoGut.
